The picture framing industry is creates a great deal of waste materials. At Windsor Gallery in Christchurch we are an environmental advocate focussing on minimising waste.
Our paper and cardboard are recycled.
We give Matt Board, MDF and Moulding off cuts to The University of Canterbury, Creative Junk, Schools and Kindergartens for creative art projects. Old frames and packaging are also given to Creative Junk.
Our gallery and workshop lighting has been replaced with LED lighting. We use materials from local suppliers when we can.
