Kellie Spence

As a contemporary oil painter based in Rolleston, my journey as an artist has been one of discovery and perseverance. I came to painting relatively late in life, at the age of 27, while working as a primary school teacher. In the evenings, I would retreat to my small apartment's kitchen to experiment with colourful landscapes.

Despite starting from humble beginnings, my passion and dedication for the art form quickly became evident and my paintings began to sell throughout New Zealand and overseas.

My current series of paintings are a celebration of the power and beauty of women. I aim to capture a unique personality with each painting and to inspire a deeper appreciation for the women surrounding us all.
