The Dart Valley at the head of Lake Wakatipu in Otago. A strong North West wind is blowing, raising dust clouds in the river bed. Timing and patience, watching the clouds of dust, the patches of sunlight and cloud formations until a comfortable composition comes together.

Phase One Digital Camera. IQ 180 Digital back. Schneider LS 150mm f/3.5 Lens.

I print my images on the latest generation Epson Sure Color P7000 Printer. This image is printed on what I believe to be one of the highest quality archival materials available, 310 gms. Canson Infinity Rag Photographique paper. The new Epson Ultrachrome HDX pigment inks show a significant improvement over older generation inks.

As a protective coating and additional UV protection, I spray the print with two coats of Art Premier Print Shield.
